Another Day, Another Sundown
Luna woke up, curled into a ball on her bed. Last night’s memories came flashing back to her. She was up in a heartbeat. Luna could feel her face turning red.
“Can I go to school today?” Luna asked.
“Yes. Just take this charm with you. It’ll stop the effects of the transformation,” Iris gave Luna a necklace. It was a small silver wolf, its head pointed upwards; It looked like it was howling.
“Uh-thanks,” Luna slipped it on. There was a small white glow when it touched her skin. She looked at it carefully. Shrugging, she put on her uniform and walked to school.
Humanities, Block 4-End of the Day
Chelsea was sick. Luna needed to take her homework to her. Today, Mark was in a daze. He didn’t speak to his friends when they said something. He looked like he was drifting far away. Luna wondered if he was thinking about her. She picked up her friend’s homework.
Luna decided to take another walk that night.
