Give it Back!
Once again, I set down my pen and re-read my story. Wishful thinking was all it was. I knew it would never happen, but I could dream.
“Pennie? Whatcha writing ‘bout?” Levi asked taking my notebook and trying to read my story.
“Levi! Give that back. It’s private! Levi, Come on.” I yelled, jumping up and reaching for my book. He turned just out of my grasp and continued reading. I felt my face flush completly as it became apparent he wasn’t giving it back without finishing first.
Slowly, he looked up at me and handed me back my notebook. I blushed deeper and took it back, mumbling my thanks as I fumbled to put my notebook in my backpack. Any other story. I thought. Any other one woudn’t have mattered, but no. He just had to read the one about him.
Not knowing exactly what to do, I mumbled an excuse, turned and started walking away.
I hadn’t gone more then two steps when Levi grabbed my arm and spun me around. Wrapping his arms around me he kissed me.
“I like you too.” He whispered after.
