The next day at school I tried to go to my locker as little as possible and take a different route to my classes to avoid Leo. It’s working so far, but then again it’s only 3rd hour.

I walk down the sophormore’s hall on my way to my third hour. Half way there I see Bernard.. with some girl. It looks like their smiling at each other and then they hug. Before she goes into class Bernard kisses her on her cheek.

My face flushes pink and my eyes swell with tears. I get to class fast, and when Bernard sits down by me, I mutter, “I really loved you and I thought you felt the same..”

“Faith? What’s wrong with you?” Bernard asks, having heard me.

“I saw you with that other girl, Bernard.. You looked pretty close. How could you Bernard? I thought you loved me.. I thought you were different from Leo.. But you both used me..” I say as a tear spills over.

“Faith.. I-” He begins but I cut him off. Instead I ask the teacher for a bathroom pass and leave. I don’t come back until the hour is almost over.
