Like A Movie
Beth leaned over to ask me, “What’s up with her?”
“I really don’t know… Did you say something to her?” I ask.
“I haven’t said a word to her. I was talking to you this morning.” She answers.
Then it clicked. I never to her about Beth coming, let alone her going to our school…
“Oh my God. I think she thinks we are going out! You remember, I kissed you on the cheek in the hall, that must have upset her!” I slap myself in the forehead. Crap
At the end of the period I go to find Faith at her locker.
“Hey, I need to te -” I began to say, but then she cuts me off.
“No. Listen, Bernard, I don’t feel like talking okay? I don’t feel like crying over a boy again.”
As she says this she walks out of the building, heading to er next class. It was like a movie, a girl walking away into the light…never to come back. Damn! I need to tell her.
