A bittersweetness about this piece, kind of like where you know it’s a beautiful moment and you should enjoy it but you’re too aware of its impermanence to really sink into it. There’s a certain feel to pieces like these that makes me think – if they were being spoken aloud, it would be in a heavy, soft whisper in my ear, so only I could listen, and I alone would feel the bittersweet peace they bring. Beautifully done. LoA
