The Everlasting Hurricane PART 2
I guess I was wrong. This hurricane was going to be a little rough but I was tough. I could handle this. after a few minutes on the phone with mom, I hung up and followed her directions. Here’s what she told me to do:
1. Board up windows
2. Pack up cloths and a couple of belongings
3. Lock the doors and turn on channel 7
4. Get emergency supplies from garage
I did as I was told and huddled up on the couch under the blankets. I could feel myself getting a little worried. Was mom and dad going to make it home in time? Was the house going to make it? That’s when it hit me. My house. This was my home. Full of memories. Full of my life. Full of family and friends and love and joy. My soul literally lived in this house. I started to panic, what now? Then, I heard a pounding on the door. Who was it? It was starting to get nasty outside. Winds were blowing at 60 miles per hour now and the rain was poring down. Waves were crashing on the shoreline and that was it. Everything around me blacked out.
