Lost
So many thoughts raced through her dreary mind. Her tears were cold as they strolled down her cheek in the hot night air. She sat trying to steady out her breathing. Last night was like a re-run that kept playing in her head over & over again. She couldn’t endure it any longer. She threw her hands in the air and shouted. “Dear God! I don’t understand! Why him? Why did he have to go..” her voice trailed off & she sobbed harder as she hit the ground with her fists. “Why..” she whispered through her tears. But she uncovered her face & tried again. “God? I don’t know why that happened. I don’t know why it had to be him. But..” she paused, breathed & continued. ”..but i know You will take care of me. I will stay faithful to you Lord..just please..please help me through this. I can’t do this on my own…please..” and she couldn’t stop the tears from coming again. After a minute she looked up to see where she was. She had no idea. She didn’t recognize the street signs. She was lost in every sense of the word.
