If it’s descending, that can’t be good for the people in the dungeon. They’ll be more than sad, they’ll be crushed.

Great continuation. I like how Roland became a kind of anti-hero…well, now, an all-around bad guy. The characterization, therefore, is good.

Wow, I wasn’t expecting Vale to die like that. He had answers, but now Roland will have to gain wisdom the old fashioned way. Or kill everybody and takeover the kingdom on the ground.
