My Name Is Jake And I Don't Know What Is Happening.
My legs were on fire as I ran with a terrifying sense of urgency. It was dark. My watch said 2:04am.
It was raining this time, and again my reflection was not my own. Lightning split the night sky with an ugly indigo gash and the air echoed with thunder. My voice was foreign to me, as I cried.
“I will give you whatever you want, just don’t hurt me!”
I was exhausted. I could not go on much longer. My heart felt as if it was going to burst out of my chest.
My eyes spied the shadows looking for clues. Clues as to where i was.
My clothes were torn; a blouse? I pull it tight around me.
A flash of silver came over my right shoulder and i felt a blade enter my shoulder. My blood left a oily black stain on my blouse as a lightning flash blinded the landscape. The knife bit into me again, and again.
A man’s voice whispered in to my ear, “Look Precious, you’ve gone and fallen,”
I shot awake, drenched in my own sweat. My sleep fogged eyes pierced the darkness the clock: 5:04am.
It had happened again!
