Great way to start the ficlet. Long monologue giving the impression of tiredness, fed-upedness, and general disgust. I want to know more.

I loved the opening monologue! Really set a cool tone.

I concur with the gentlemen above, great way to, um, “start” your story. This really makes your reader want to keep reading.
