Yikes, great idea and very psychological. Really makes you wonder when he was in such a room before or what his subconscious motivation was for creating such a room.
Suspenseful and, as THX said, psychologically frightening. And, indeed, if he was not imagining a dark room, why is it dark? And why does it seem familiar? Hmmmmm…let me pontificate a while…
I absolutely love this series, and this is a great entry. I’m sorry that Kwatz is no longer contributing though (according to his blog). Seems to me that Jacques may have found himself back in the dungeon.
For the record, I’m still checking in on things. I’m more interested in seeing where the story is going without me at the moment. I’m not at all perturbed by the sequels – I’m just concentrating what little writing time I have on my book. :)
Interesting and, as THX said, psychological entry in the series. I have to wonder if when he was creating the room maybe he just forgot to think of a door? Just kidding. I wonder what this room represents in his psyche. Maybe his creative powers just aren’t flowing perfectly yet…
