The Fifth Magistrate's Gift

“The Fae here, is not the only Fae alive,” Ranulf said slowly. A surprised murmur pulsed through the crowd, their thoughts all spinning with ideas.
“Recently, it came to our attention exactly all the powers that Fae should have attained through the Fae enchantment. Power over weather, confirmed. Power over the plant death, confirmed. Power of flight, confirmed,” here I got a few surprised looks, that had been a secret between me and the researching (and Ranulf) gang, “Power of converting part, but not whole, obviously, confirmed. The fifth Fae Magistrate’s gift was Premonition… unconfirmed.”
If it hadn’t been for all the thoughts, I’m sure the room would have been so quiet you could hear a pin drop. To me, it was quite loud.
“We have come to find that the fifth Fae Magistrate is still alive. And he is waiting. For the Fae.”
Instant hubub. (not just thoughts). People yelling and trying to decipher what this meant exactly. But I knew why. He had seen something that had stopped him from giving his gift.
