Alex in Wonderland- Part 19

Becky started at the sudden appearance of the olive skinned, white haired man but took a moment to look around at the shop they’d ended up in. She didn’t remember this place being here in 1984.

Floor to ceiling was covered in mirrors every shape and size one could ever hope, or wish, to have. Which just happened to be her weakness. Some held in place with heavy pewter frames, others were frameless. All were simply magnificent.

The man watched Rebecca carefully. A smile played upon his lips. It had already lit a spark in his eyes. Her fascination was his fascination. He moved gracefully from behind the counter to her side and offered to escort her through the maze of mirrors.

He leaned in close to her ear, and in a caramel smooth voice, “Beautiful aren’t they?” Becky lay a hand on his forearm, nodding hypnotically. In turn, he rested his opposing hand atop hers and let a slow deep laugh drift from some where within.

The others watched with open mouths. “Oh, he’s good,” Amanda whispered.
