Flip Flop for a Ride
They layed that way until the bus came & Anna grumbled a little when she had to move away from his chest again. The bus driver happened to be the same one from that morning & she couldn’t helping smiling as the two of them walked hand in hand towards the bus.
Once they had sat down, Jack decided to admit a little bit. “Anna?”
She looked at him in response. “Anna I..the reason I was…” he couldn’t find exactly how to word it because he didn’t want to scare Anna. Anna took his hand for the first time, instead of it being the other way around, & told Jack to say whatever he was thinking.
“Anna..it’s hard to describe the..anger that gets to my head with something like Lance.”
It was then that Anna recognized the hatred coming from Jack’s voice. But she just looked at him waiting for him to continue.
“When I stare straight ahead, I’m concentrating on being…calm. My temper can be as big as this solar system, & I didn’t want you to see that. I’m not trying to scare you..” But Anna found his chest.
