“Something doesn’t feel right,” said Kevin as he, Joe, Nick, and I sat at the dinner table. Everyone was out doing late Christmas shopping.
“Yeah,” said Joe, nodding and scratching his head. Something wasn’t giving us the Christmas spirit.
“I got it!” I yelped. We were all being idiots. We were missing the most important thing of all.
“What?” asked Nick.
“A Christmas tree!” All our jaws dropped. We were missing a Christmas tree. Who knew?”
“Your all idiots!” said Joe. “I knew that’s what we were missing. I was just going to test your smartness!” We all looked at Joe knowingly.
“Okay, okay,” he said.
“So let’s go get a tree!” said Kevin.
