“Kevin!” yelped Nick as he dropped down to his knees. This was going to be a weird day.
“Yeah?” said Kevin as he got up and looked over to his left. “No!” he said. All the glass bulbs were shattered and the lights were flickering. It was like one of those comedy movies. One of those movies where nothing went right and in every single scene something funny/disastrous happens. And in this scene number one hundred twenty three our perfect Christmas tree gets ruined. But, this wasn’t a movie or a take or anything. This was sort of reality.
“Is this my fault?” asked Nick. We all nodded. “Heh, sorry?” We all nodded again.
“Well, see you later!” Nick trotted up the stairs and slammed his bedroom door.
“What was that all about?” I asked. Kevin looked over at Joe who looked over at me with wide eyes.
“I really don’t know,”. I went over to the glass mess on the floor and started to sweep up all the bits and pieces. It was starting to get dark outside so we had to do it quick. Our parents would kill us.
