“Yeah, you guys can hang out in my room,” I said, dragging my pillow and a blanket down the hall.
“Thanks!” called Katie as she shut the door. It was two-thirty in the morning, I was still half asleep. When I reached the steps, I heard crying from Nick’s room. A girl’s cry. I dropped my stuff and opened the door. It was Lauren.
“What’s wrong?” I asked looking at Nick then at Lauren.
“Joe broke up with me!”
“What?” I asked.
“He broke up with her,” said Nick. “Two weeks ago!” Lauren always had delayed emotions should I say. She wouldn’t care about a break-up for a while. Then, there comes the tears.
“Two weeks ago?” I asked as I sat down. Lauren nodded.
“How about you go back to bed?” asked Nick, hiding his face under the blankets.
“No! Just leave me alone! Get out! All of you!”
“This is Nick’s room, Lauren.”
“GET OUT !” Nick grabbed his stuff and we headed out. This was going to be a long night.
