Christmas day was very boring. I spent all day just watching the Yule Log. It was so boring, but, Katie seemed to enjoy it since I didn’t have a real fire place.
“I miss Joe!” she blurted out as I shut off the television.
“Sorry,” I muttered.
“Was it cool when you got on the front cover of pop star when you were still together with Nick?”
“Who said I wasn’t together with Nick?”
“It says it right here,” said Katie who got up from the couch and went over to her bag. She pulled out yet another pop star magazine. She flipped through the pages and tossed it to me.
“It says that they recently interviewed Nick and he said that he was single again,” said Katie. I starred at the page and the words were right there. I couldn’t believe it. I looked over the next page and saw Nick’s smiling face. Tears came to my eyes.
“Thanks,” I muttered to Katie as I started to run upstairs.
“Don’t you think he looks kinda cute in that picture?” she asked, trying to help. At least I think she was trying to help.
