“Wake up, it’s New Years!” said Katie, throwing all my blankets off yet again. All I had done for the last few days was lay in bed, thinking about all the fun I had probably missed.
“What time is it?” I asked as I started to brush my hair with my brush.
“Nine, the Rocking New Years Eve special is starting,”. I nodded. Just what I wanted to see.
“Okay, let’s go,” I trotted down stairs. I wasn’t feeling so bad anymore. Maybe we could make the best of New Years.
“I’m gonna go get some popcorn and soda and even some party streamers and BALLOONS !” said Katie. I nodded. She was just a little hyper.
“I’ll be right back,” she said. I turned on the TV and watched the New Years special until Katie came back.
“It’s for you,” she said handing me the phone.
“Hello?”
“_Hey!” It was Joe, but I wasn’t upset because of him, was I?
“Oh, hi. Do you wanna talk to Katie? She misses you.”
“No I wanted to talk to you,”.
“_Okay, what’s up?”
“Nick’s a wreck without you, you have to help us!”
“What?!?”.
