In deepest respect to the LoA, I present this ficlet.

This was pretty cool. A totalitarian future that is completely believable given our current climate.
My only big gripe is that the act was implemented 4 years after the events of the story. So this cop traveled back in time to arrest her. =P
Kind of unfair to be arrested for something that isn’t a crime yet.

@John P…it was 2075 _or Beyond _ challenge. also, I originally wrote it to be 2069, but changed it to fit in the 2075 or Beyond. I guess I should have left it at 2069 :(

This is awesome! I sat at my computer all morning trying to come up with a plausible entry to the challenge wondering if it could be done. Now, I know and knowing is half the battle. I do agree with JP that 2069 works a little better, giving the law time enough to become innocuous. Oh, and in the third paragraph I believe you meant to write: ‘you are hereby’ not ‘you hare hereby’. By the way, this was pure awesomeness!

Ah yes Krulltar. Forgot that important detail. I was really going off of your title where the date says 2075. My fault for not paying attention.

Absolutely marvelous! One of the first things to go will definitely be individual, creative thinking. We, as a mass generational whole (and you can insert any generation), are so sadly heading in that direction. Slurping up the stagnant garbage the media spoon feeds us 24/7. Cattle marching obediently to the slaughter.

Okay.. got that out of my system. Obviously a great Ficlet! 5*’s for the Story and Double that for bucking the system. ;D

Yeah, that motto is pretty much impossible not to put in my profile. I’ll give credit to you, of course. There were some things in this that just made me laugh.

Love the whole ‘1984’ feel to it, and that motto is beyond awesome. Thank you for sharing your vision. Nicely told as well, with some great detail and depth.
