Wow, I think you even got the extra credit for mentioning another writer’s character. I love the idea of walking into ficlets.holo and holo-experiencing stories, but you might have been a bit heavy-handed with all the holos.
Cool concept. The idea of the ficleteers avatar doing a little “ficlet reading” in the virtual cyberspace. How awesome would it be if the holo-dyn could actually play out the scene for you? Ooooh, imagining the possibilities. And that second sentence needs a comma after “with a wave,” to denote that the screen is not waving. Ana could probably explain the exact grammar reasoning. All I know is it helps to pause after “with a wave.”
That’s one of my favorite THX series and you gave us such a cool vision of a possible future with the inclusion of “holo-dyns.” @ John Perkins, I guess the grammatical reasoning behind the phrase “With a wave” needing a comma is that it’s a prepositional phrase at the beginning of the sentence and needs a comma to separate it from the subject. If that makes any sense. My brain gets a bit fuzzy when I’m not teaching during the summer. ;)
