I love how lyrical this is. Really lovely. And how the “you” is almost a playful afterthought, remembered only after all the other necessities have been taken care of.

I am not a poet. I know this is horrific and I probably should never write poetry again but I had to get it out of my system. Sorry.

Definitely not horrific. It was actually a very fun read. Sure it’s not going to get compared to Frost or Poe or anything, but their stuff is rarely fun to read. I loved the, “oh, yeah I totally forgot, you’re kinda cool too.”

This is great, I don’t know why you thought it was terrible. It stayed almost songlike and I like the “Oh, and yeah, you. You’re cool.” Sounds like something my friend’s boyfriend wrote for her.(Not accusing you of plagarism, just pointing out the coincidence.)
