Somewhat remarkably similar to my history, though you amassed a much larger collection of poetry. I wrote short stories. Had a real nice series about a serial killer going for a while until my stepmom freaked out when she found it.
I did not know you were in the Air Force. Were you stationed in Iceland? That would be a big difference in our history as I was at Hickam AFB , Hawaii.
I really enjoyed the presentation of this. The VHS tape worked very well as a timeline device for telling the history.

I loved the format of this. How awesome, to meet the love of your life in Iceland. I was just watching an episode of No Reservations today where Anthony Bourdain was in Iceland, and I couldn’t help thinking how beautiful that country seems.
Oh, and I’d love to read that Vaguely poem!

I enjoyed the VHS format too. And B&W like memories on old movies! And the line “chasing tail and fixing jets” sounds so macho, I had to grin.

Very cool format for the story, Brownie. It works really well to make you feel as though you’re really dredging up the past. I can’t even remember the last time I even touched a VHS tape…or a VCR , for that matter. I’d be outta luck on memory lane.
I tried to give you 5 1/2 stars, but I failed.
