Land of Confusion: Codename War Games
Josh sat up on the edge of the couch, obviously furious. “What the hell for?”
Isaac and Eve looked at him as if he had completely lost his mind. Eve crossed her arms over her chest again and Isaac sat up leaning his elbows on his knees. Waiting for more.
Josh almost leapt from the couch and started pacing. Eve frowned deeply watching the track marks forming on her beige carpet, all sympathy for her “missing” friend was over.
She cleared her throat, “Well Joshua. Care to elaborate? Or are you just going to stalk like a caged animal?”
He slowly turned to her as if she’d appeared from thin air. “The email I sent about the game?” Before she could even reply, “It’s not a game, Evie.” He was shaking his head.
“A mission I ‘played’,” he quoted with his fingers for emphasis, “Was on the news the morning after I completed it. All my little intel drones and remote artillery. They’re real. And They are using them. Over there!“
By the time he finished, he was violently whispering and inches from her face.
