An Unexpected Reunion
Anna had remembered seeing a sandwich place not far from the shop on the bus ride. She decided to walk down there.
After getting a turkey sandwich and a sweet tea, she brought it back to her table. She went to the bathroom to wash her hands. She was walking back out the bathroom door, when she suddenly felt a hand cup over her mouth and an arm around her middle, dragging her back backwards. Her screams turned into muffled moans in his hand.
“Shut up Anna.” Anna’s face turned pale, and her eyes grew large as she recognized the hateful voice. She peeled his hand away from her mouth long enough to choke one word out. “Lance?”
“I want you to go back to your table like nothing happened. I will meet you there and you need to act happy to see me like you know me. If you try to run?” He flipped out a knife he had in his jacket. “And get that look off your face or you’ll give everything away.” He pushed Anna down the hall and back into the eating area.
