Found Them
I laid my head on Tyler’s shoulder. He had his arm around me and, even with his cast, he looked as content as I felt. I smiled to myself and scooted as close to Tyler as I could. I was tired from the day and I could feel my eyes closing despite the loud explosions around us.
Just as I was seriously dozing, my cell vibrated in my back pocket scaring both me and Tyler.
“mm, Hello?” I answered dazedly in my phone.
“Where are you two?! It’s so dark we can’t see anything.” My mother screached into my ear.
I immediately straightened up and glanced around looking for my mom and possible the Parson’s as well.
“Who are you looking for?” Tyler asked as I climbed up on the bench.
“Do you see me now, mom?” I asked, simutaniously answering Tyler’s question.
She waved as she saw me and hurried towards us, with Mr. and Mrs. Parson close behind. I climbed off the bench. Tyler and I braced for a fight, seeing as we had been gone for over two hours by now.
