Reflect My Heart (Part 6)
Caitlyn’s lunch session with Tracy’s friends turned out to be useful. Maybe she wasn’t crazy. After all, did Crazy people KNOW they’re crazy?
During the ride home with James, she assembled the information she had gathered from the girls, assuming it was in fact information and not rumors. Two stories stood out.
ONE : A rich family had lived in that old house about 100 years ago. The Cardiens. They had a son who had pissed off the witch down the street who decided to kill him.
TWO : The Cardiens never wanted a son. They wanted a precious daughter, and when the son, “Charles”, was born, the never let him forget it. One day murdering him and burying his body in the backyard. He was never heard from again, of course.
Caitlyn sighed. The stories were all so far fetched. But maybe she wasn’t crazy. Maybe the boy she saw in the mirror was the ghost of “Charles”, IF that was even his real name.
Tonight she supposed she would have to see for herself, and that was making her dizzy and scared.
