Reflect My Heart (Part 7)
Caitlyn thanked her brother for the ride, and slowly crept up the stairs towards her room.
“Cait!” she heard her mother call up the steps. She winced. She needed to discover whether or not she was crazy! It was killing her. Eating her from the inside out.
“Yes mom?!” “How was your first day?!” “Good! Thanks!” she ran the rest of the way to her room and quickly shut the door to block out her mother’s questions. Her mother simply smiled and shook her head, muttering “Hormones.”
Caitlyn peeked around the corner at the mirror. It seemed innocent enough. She slid her green backpack from her shoulder and tossed it to her bed.
“Ughm… hello? Ugh… Charles?” She felt her face burn; she looked absolutely stupid talking to nothing and wandering around her room.
“Ghost of Charles Cardien?” She heard a chuckle and turned around quickly. “Hello? Who’s there?”
“Charles? They changed my name to Charles?” she heard a deep voice question.
She turned back around to see the boy in the mirror, arms crossed and smiling at her.
