Yes, he hit the nail on the head! And I was reading this thinking YES ! you want that love! And then, NO! but to have loved like that even the memory would be sweet! Yet I know the agony must be great! The thing about humans is that they can survive, move on, even if they live in a cottage with 200 cats… I’m glad she is engaged, it made it funny that he bared his soul, his warning, to her for no reason! I wonder if he was embarrassed? I bet he just turns and leaves. Finds someone else to talk to. Poor guy.

Hah. This series morphed from a tragic epic story into a sort of comedy there at the end. His feeling of world-weariness that you convey just makes it funnier somehow.
