Showdown At Showbiz Fizzles
Julian took that moment to step out of the Showbiz glass doors holding Devon’s hand like he was chaperoning her at a theme park. Her eyes were as terrified as if she had just seen a rollercoaster plummet from the highest hill and miss her by inches.
“Hold it right there!” Screamed an officer who clearly wanted to steal the show and earn his name in the books on this raid.
Julian sighed and said, “I’m just protecting the girl! Trazelli is the one who wants her dead!”
“Devon, honey?! Are you okay?!” yelled her flustered Mom.
“I’m fine. Julian’s not mean, Mom. He told me the truth about my real Mom.” Devon didn’t even have to yell, she had everyone’s attention.
“We all need to go downtown now; Straighten this out.” Detective Walsh suggested.
Officers ran up to Devon and Julian, they cuffed Julian and led him to a squad car, while Devon was escorted to her parents.
She hugged them and they hugged her all the way to the police station. No one spoke. The moment was too sweet.
