Leaving
I ran straight to my house, not even caring who saw me. Once I got home, I realized I had forgotten my hat and sunglasses. I shook my head, I couldn’t worry about that.
I grabbed my suitcase and started throwing random clothes into hit. I stormed into my bathroom and scooped up all my grab, dumping it into my suitcase. When I couldn’t think of anything else to shove in my suitcase, I dragged it down to my kitchen. I pulled out a pad of paper and a pen.
John,
I am so sorry. I need some time away. I don’t know where I’m going or when I’ll be home. Don’t worry about me to much, okay? I’ll call later.
I love you,
Abby
Tears were streaming down my face as the guilty of what I had done hit me. I put the note on the table, where I knew he would see it when he returned home from work.
I walked out my door and put my suitcase in the back of my car. I pulled out and drove out of town. I had no idea where I was going, but I couldn’t stay here any longer.
