Goodbye Sugarview
The cafeteria now looked better than it had before Twilah had started the food fight. Candi was whimpering at how her outfit was ruined. She only had 30 minutes of sixth period in, where watched a video about mitosis and meiosis. Then Twilah went to her last class, Literature, where she was assigned to write an essay that would describe the perfect day. She described her whole day in her paper and handed it in to her teacher as the bell rang.
The sun was looking down at the world now. The storm had cleared up. Twilah walked to her car that she’d be turning in to the used cars Honda department tonight.
She rolled down the windows and plugged her ipod into her car, played the song Shut Up and Let Me Go and turned it up as loud as it would go. This was the last time she’d ever drive home from Sugarview High.
She loved today! She couldn’t contain her happiness. She stopped by a Starbucks drive-through and got a caramel frappachino. Could a day get any better?
