Hoodie

I packed my stuff in my duffel, well I just shoved it all in and hoped it fit. Mom scoffed when she saw it but didn’t say anything.

I was done first so I began taking my stuff downstairs. When I put my bag in the cab my cell rang. It was Tyler.

“Hello?”

“Rose! You left your hoodie in my room.” He said, he sounded worried… Like I’d die if I didn’t have that one hoodie.

I laughed. “Relax Tyler. I’ll just get it from you next time I see you.” I shrugged even though I knew he couldn’t see.

“Oh… ok.” Tyler sounded a little disapointed. I chuckled, I knew he would be calling because I left my hoodie with him on purpose. It gave me an excuse to go down and get it.

“We’re about to leave though… I’ll call you when I get home okay?”

“Ok…” He said again. Gosh, he sounded like a wounded puppy. I just wanted to hug him and make it all better. We said goodbye and hung up as my mom walked out the door.

We got in the cab and took off for the train station. I couldn’t get Tyler out of my head.
