Nothing Left Unsaid

Sadie and I cried together at the park until dark. When we weren’t blubbering, we were talking about all the things we shared together. Sadie decidded to throw me a party. I had a lot of friends I would miss and who would miss me.

The next day of school was our last before Christmas break. At one school, we go ice skating for the day and I just know I’ll be crying the whole time. I had a paper to let my teachers know I wouldn’t be returning after break. All of them said goodbye, and wished me luck at my new school.

At my other school, Sadie passed out invites to the whole 10th grade. Everywhere I went I heard someone calling my name, or throwing their arms around me, or telling me how much they’d miss me.

“Lilah!” I heard. I turned to look for the person calling me and ended up falling on my butt.

He skated over to me and helped me up, laughing. “Thanks.”

“Any time.” He answered, causing me to roll my eyes.

We started up around the rink and soon he said, “I wanted to tell you something…”
