Not Listening
I had dinner with my family and got ready for bed. As I returned to my room, I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing began playing from my bed.
I ran to my bed and grapped my phone, “Hello?” I answered, not bothering to look and see who was calling.
“Hey Sweetie…” Tyler’s voice rang through my phone.
“Hey, everything alright?” I asked, hearing confliction in his voice.
“Yeah… no…” He said. I waited for hm to continue. “Candi… my best friend… she… got mad at me for talking to you… all the time… she thinks… oh I don’t even know.”
“Maybe I should talk with her?” I questioned.
“How would that help?” He replied.
“I don’t know…” I told him and laughed. “It was the first thing that came to mind.”
“I don’t think so… She can get impulsive when she’s angry… I don’t want her blowing up at you.” He said.
“Ok… It’ll work out though.” I smiled a little and logged on to my laptop, knowing I wouldn’t listen to Tyler this time.
