Wise words as usual Grand Marshall. I keep calling them newbies because I can’t come up with anything else. Oh well. LoA (I still can stamp my comments with that right? People don’t seem to do it anymore.)
@Oreos: I’ve never stamped my comments, before joining the LoA or now. I guess I’m just modest like that. If someone tells me that something of mine is awesome, I usually think “but that was just lil’ ol’ me doing my lil’ ol’ thing.”
I have a comment on #2. Even if the story you want to sequel is already IN a series, sequel it anyways! it doesn’t hurt anyone! i’ve had it happen to me before, and I consider it a great honor that you liked my stuff so much you wanted to add to it. but then on the flip side, if you do sequel a story already in a series, don’t be disapointed if the original author(s) don’t sequel off yours!
I am ecstatic when people sequel my stuff, especially when it’s in the middle of a series (only then I find it much later than I would have – but then it’s a nice surprise). I don’t do it enough myself, of course.
