Residing Dreams (Chapter 88)

“I’m really glad you like it,” January said. “I love it. I’ll bring it with me to London,” I promised. “Does it remind you of Pleasantville?” she inquired. “Yes, it does. There’s no concrete way of explaining it, but the rainbow always will remind me of home. I always felt like I was free to be me here, even though I was sometimes called wierd for being different. But for the most part, I was accepted and free to be me,” I concluded. “Yeah, I know what you mean. The rainbow will forever be your symbol, won’t it? Home is, like you said, here. In Pleasantville, Elkhart County, Indiana, U.S.A. But someday home might mean something more to you than that. Maybe as you experience more from life, your definition of ‘home’ will expand into something more. Something even greater and meaningful,” January explained. I couldn’t have said it better myself. I gave her a huge hug and readied myself for the journey a few days away.
