Him ((Mini series Part 1))
I was so nervous! It was the first time I was seeing him. I couldn’t sit still and my mind was a complete mess. I put my earphones in my ear, started my iPod and began pacing in front of my parents.
“Sit down.” Mom hissed. I sighed, collapsing in a chair. My music was already loud, but I turned it up, trying to relax a bit.
His plane arrived then. I bolted up, almost dropping my iPod before shoving it in my purse at Mom’s feet. My parents were waiting here for me to go find him alone! Well, sorta… They could see the exit ramp where the passengers came off, but it still felt like I was alone.
I walked to the ring of others waiting for people. My mind floored through a ton of different outcomes. Only one stuck:
He walks off and I see him. But he looks old, somewhere in his 40s. I stumble backwards and he sees me. A wicked, hungry look enters his eyes as they travel the length of my body… With a sickening feeling I remember he knows where I live.
I shake that thought from my head as I see him.
