Telling them soon?
I laughed at her semi-serious accusing tone.
“Well, I couldn’t wait until eight, I guess.”
“It’s only two minutes away!”
“I know, but I couldn’t help myself.”
“Mmm are you watching?”
“Of course I am, silly! Why wouldn’t I be?”
She laughed lightly.
“Well, what’s happening right now?”
“What?! You don’t believe me? Don’t you trust me at all? I think I’m gonna cry now, Rose…”
She laughed again, and spoke in a softer tone after regaining her breath.
“Ya know… I like it when you say my name.”
I smiled softly, and sighed to calm the slight eruption of butterflies in my chest.
“I like it when you say my name too, sweetie.”
I heard her sigh, and we were quiet for several minutes as the movie played into the opening scene. We didn’t talk much until we reached the part where the couple was dancing in the street.
“I can definitely see us dancing in the street…”
I smiled slightly, “Me too.. we’ll have to do that when you come down.”
“Yea… but first, you need to tell your parents.”
