Not So Early Morning Conversation.
We talked the rest of that night. I awoke to the sound of Tyler’s voice the next morning.
“Rose? Sweetie? Wake up!” I heard.
“Huh…?” I mumbled groggily.
“Rose!” He yelled.
“Ugh.” I moaned. “Please… keep it down… it’s so early!”
He laughed at this. “It’s 10:30 silly girl!”
“Mmm…” I said, smiling even though he couldn’t see me. “That’s early for me, silly boy.”
“Well, I wanted to hear your voice and tell you good morning! And we are leaving for church in like, five minutes…” He told me, a smile evident in his voice.
“Oh…” I said. “When will you be home?”
“Twelve-thirty ish…” He answered reluctantly.
“Oh…” I repeated. “Well, I’m glad I got to wake to the sound of your voice!”
“Yeah… same here. Ya know… we’ve been on the phone for fifteen hours!” He laughed.
“Oh, my gosh!” I exclaimed and then laughed as well.
“I know, but I’ll talk to you in a bit…” Tyler said sadly.
“Ok, bye. I love you.” I answered.
“I love you too. Bye.” And then he was gone.
