Terrible Realization
I dazily opened my eyes to find that I had fallen asleep in Robin’s arms, him snoring quietly beside me. I took a moment to take in the scenery around me.
We were in a field of tall grasses, gently blowing in the morning breeze. The air smelled so fresh so clean.
I laid my head back in Robin’s chest inhaling his warm scent.
Then, realization of what I had done last night hit me like a battering ram.
I had just….just left Redley. And he’d be looking everywhere for me, thinking I had been stolen in the night. I was quite frankly surprised that they hadn’t looked here yet. But they will. I insist.
So with a hole in my heart I gently kissed sleeping Robin and unlatched myself reluctantly from his grasp, soon standing. I watched as Robin rolled over to where I had laid, getting the warmth perhaps?
But I was in some serious trouble. I began sprinting out of the field towards the depression of civilization.
