the 13th Curse part 12
“Hey, Natasha, wait!â?
Is it for real, the same deep musical voice calling me? I turned around, my heart beating faster than usual.
Jet ran to my side in large strokes with ease. It was after school, and I was walking my way home, when I noticed Jet Page trying to get my attention. He smiled the achingly familiar smile I’ve seen all day.
“Hey,â? he said, almost out of breath. I smiled back. I figured if you like someone, it’s probably best for him to be your friend, rather than complete strangers.
“So, how was your first day?â? I asked, hoping I didn’t sound too over helpful.
He shrugged. “Okay, I guess. It wasn’t as interesting without you in my classes so we could get to know each other more.â?
I smiled then cleared my throat. Did he really take that much of an interest in me?
Jet seemed to have noticed my embarrassment, so he smiled widely again. “So, do you want to go out sometime?â? he asked, shuffling his feet.
I blinked, surprised. “Sure, maybe, tomorrow, before school?â?
