“Edwin?â€? I call to my otherwise empty house.

“One sec, don’t move!â€? I hear from the kitchen area. A minute later I hear, “Alright, come here.â€?

I do as told and walk into the kitchen. Edwin meets me there and hands me one of the two mugs he is holding in his hands. I glance towards the living room where I hear gently Christmas carols playing and notice he has lit our fireplace.

He leads me to the couch and we sit down. I curl up next to him and blow on my hot coco in the mug he had gave me.

“This is very romantic.â€? I tell him, smiling.

“I figured you’d like to relax and start your break off nice.â€? He responds.

“Well, thank you.â€? I smile, and lean over to kiss his cheek.

“You’re very welcome.â€? He says, smiling right on back at me.
