Important change takes time. It took 81 years for the courts to overturn the constitutional ban on interracial marriages.

I agree. I think it’s just astounding how a supposedly progressive country such as ours still discriminates against gay marriage. Ridiculous.

Why does it seem to be such a big deal for people who love one another to marry? over 50% or heterosexual marriages end in divorce.. so how sacred do they hold their vows and family values> so str8 ppl think it’s immoral.. i mean religious right wingers do,, but they arent in power anymore are they?? nuff said.

I totally agree with you. I hate that people thing it is sick or wrong for gays to marry. IT just makes me sooo mad! I mean, who are we to deny their happiness?! and it is not like it is hurting anyone… there are enough people in the world I doubt we have to worry about not enough kids being born…

@Berner, It is not true that over 50% of marriages end in divorce. That statistic has been twisted. It is important that rumors like this are not spread as fact.
