Winter and I

My brain seemed to draw a blank when I thought of the events of the past twenty minutes. So, instead, it went to other, easier memories of…Winter and I. Jeez.. What a name. (Kinda sexy, I thought, but I didn’t think that too loud).

When I first met her during one lunch in the cafeteria, the first thing I noticed was how she didn’t smirk when she heard my name. She had actually sort of brightened, and I didn’t have to say “it’s not a girl’s name” or “what about Haley Joel Osment?” She just seemed to automatically love hanging out with me.

Then I noticed her athletic body, graceful yet striking auburn hair, and smooth face. And the uncanny ability to notice a spider clinging to a ceiling a hall away. But we never much got into that.

We had gone to the movies a couple times. Eaten out. Regular dating stuff. Of course, there were a few weird occurences…
