Land of Confusion: More Than Words
Eve left Isaac to heft the milkcrate through the door himself. He had brought it over, afterall. Shuffling to the kitchen, it was well past time for a serious drink. A dose of Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper mix would help her this morning.
Isaac, having deposited the crate, watched her. “Rough morning?” He grinned. “I have never understood why you don’t just drink coffee.” Eve sighed as she made sure the the glass was full of bitesized ice before she began pouring.
“Want one?” She asked out of politeness. He shrugged, “Nah, I had coffee before I left the house. Anyway, brought you a few files. I think you should check them out.” Eve handed him the ashtray he was looking for, one of those that pull the smoke into them.
“Thanks,” he said sheepishly and pulled out his pack. “What’s in them?” She asked curiously, already chewing on the ice, which her dentist warned her about everytime she visited.
“Just look. I think there’s code in the lyrics.” The look on Eve’s face said more than words ever could.
