“Trajectory adjusted. All sensor arrays online, full scan.” As Ava spoke the center of the bridge filled with a holographic projection of the planet below, the image overlaid with various sensor readings.

“Good we should be coming up on the anomaly now. Focus scans there.”

“Anomaly on sensors. Analyzing. Unknown event in progress.” It displayed as white static where the planet should have been.

“My god, it’s growing!” There was a hint of fear in Ker’s voice.

“Anomaly growing at a rate of 1 meter per second” Ava stated as she processed the data, “consuming the planet like a virus.”
