Cora sat on her bed chewing her bottom lip. Wiping away a tear she called her best friend Lillie again. After Lillie’s voicemail came on, Cora laid back down on her bed and waited.

Lillie and June walked into June’s basement laughing. Lillie absent-mindedly grabbed her cell from the floor.}

“Holy crap! Six missed calls?” Lillie screeched.

“They’re probably all from Cora. Ya know Lillie, she acts like a clingy boyfriend.” June said as her and Lillie burst out laughing.

“Ugh. You’re right June!” Lillie agreed. “I’m going to call her and tell her what I think about that.”

With that Lillie picked up the phone and called Cora, not bothering to listen to her messages.

Cora jumped at the sound of her phone. “Hello?”

“Cora. You’re acting like a clingy boyfriend, you know that? And now I’m not sure about you but I perfer my boyfriends male. So stop calling me all the time got it? Good.”
