Don't Leave
I stood gingerly by the curtain. I had followed Tyler’s dad in, but was just a tiny bit afriad of him. He seemed angry and I didn’t want to get in his way.
“A freind of yours stopped by.” His father announced with a deep sigh and moved out of my way.
“Hey…” I said, taking his hand in mine. “How ya feeling?”
Electricity passed between us through our intertwined fingers. I vaguely noticed a look of shook on Tyler’s Dad’s face.
“I’m fine, really don’t worry Rose.” His smile faultered as he took a painful breath.
I squeezed his hand just a little bit tighter as I felt his pain shoot through me.
“Oh Tyler… I saw what happened on T.V.” I told him brushing his disheveled hair out of his face. “I was so worried about you…”
“Rose…” Tyler said, his face twisting in pain.
“Don’t talk if it hurts.” I whispered.
“Don’t leave…” Tyler whispered back, locking his eyes with mine.
“I won’t leave you, ever.” I saw his dad glaring at me but I couldn’t care. I was never leavng Tyler alone.
