So this is my 101st ficlet, and i figure its time I post a challenge. Now, it took me a while to pick one…but here’s my challenge:

Write me a story involving someone/some event from history(or it could be a well known myth if you want).

Sounds easy, but here’s the twist-I want you to change something big that happened in that event/in their life...for example, if we hadn’t won the Revolutionary War…would we have ever won our freedom? How would life be now?

Basically, im looking for creativity in choosing characters/events, etc. I’m also looking for the unexpected-characters or plot-wise.

Hopefully, some people will enter. And if they do, then the judging will occur on July 7th(no promises about results being out on that specific day but within a day or 2).

    I like this idea.Congrats on having over 100 ficlets – that’s fantastic! Sometimes I read a challenge and my mind goes blank and I can think of nothing for it so I can’t enter. And sometimes, an idea pops into the noggin before I even finish reading the challenge. The latter just happened to me, so off I go to enter your awesome challenge!

    @Six, I think Eckhouse was questioning the gender of the royal title, not the praise. I’m sure he’d be more than willing to be called the king. =P

    They’re a series by D.J. MacHale, and one of the books involves changing the past.
